kernel32.dll

    I have microsoft windowsme version 4.90. I have a pentium III processor 800Mhz, Bios version Award Medallion BIOS v6.0, I have downloaded the file kernel32.dll from a website because I keep getting the error kernel32.dll has caused an error.. , when I run other programs.. but it won't let me install it.. it says I need a password .. Does anyone know what the password might be or how to get around this..
