I have never done this before and need some advise. Can you direct me please? I have two computer, one with a small external hard drive that is full now. I purchase a new large HD and I want to load all the files from the small HD to the new one and then all the files from my second computer. Is there anywhere I could find directions on doing this without loosing all my files? Can someone advise me? I guess I don't know how to load the files from one external HD to the other?? Please advise.

    Thank you,

I was in a similar situation last week. It seems the best way to do it is to create a new folder on your desktop and call it "small drive" or something. Copy everything from the smaller drive to that folder using drag-n-drop or copy-n-paste. Then hook up the new, bigger driver, open the "small drive" folder, click Edit at the top, choose Select All, and drag-n-drop the files to the new drive. It's easy, but unfortunately, fairly slow, esp. if you have lots of of files (I had about 58gb worth and took a LONG time).
