Right, currently I have my main home computer which connects directly to the internet and then my computer which connected to the internet through my main home via an ethernet cross-over cable. However my sister has recently purchased a laptop and would like to get that online too.
What hardware would i require to wirelessly network all 3 of these computers and enable them to connect to the internet? I've looked at usb wireless thingys, the cards that fit into a laptop (my sister's laptop is a new toshiba so it has the port that can take a wireless card!)

I've looked at routers etc but don't know what to buy!!!!

Verify her machine does not already have a built in wireless card. If you so will ned a wireless router or AP.

    Hi
The content of the following links will provide you with a short tutorial about Wireless, it is short and to the point:

The page above was written a while ago. You might ignore the prices, but the principles are still the same.

Your best be is to buy a wireless Cable/DSL router. This will get you connected to you cable modem and give you wireless ability. You will then need to get Wireless Adapters. If all you PC's have USB, I would go that route, its cheap and if you have a desktop you won't burn a PCI slot.

Unfortunatley dvll, since you are not close enough associate with his wireless router you are pretty much stuck. Can it be done, yes, but for what you are looking to do, it would be costly. You would need two Wireless Bridges and omni directional attenna (Yagi) that you align one in your place and one in his, line of site is important. I normally have never used multifuntional AP/Bridges but I think you can get those, but I think its more than you want to tackle.
