I ran all the programs you suggested and am attaching the files. The above program keeps coming back even though Malwarebytes says it destroys it. Attached are the five logs files.

Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
When it opens, press the Scan button
Now click the Registry tab and locate these detections:

    • [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKCU\[...]\Run : Xaixn ("C:\Documents and Settings\Lynne\Application Data\Tyyp\xaixn.exe" [x]) -> FOUND
      [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKCU\[...]\Run : xonuzuripakk (C:\Documents and Settings\Lynne\xonuzuripakk.exe [x]) -> FOUND
      [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKUS\S-1-5-21-1966435703-3959267480-7407799-1005\[...]\Run : Xaixn ("C:\Documents and Settings\Lynne\Application Data\Tyyp\xaixn.exe" [x]) -> FOUND
      [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKUS\S-1-5-21-1966435703-3959267480-7407799-1005\[...]\Run : xonuzuripakk (C:\Documents and Settings\Lynne\xonuzuripakk.exe [x]) -> FOUND

Place a checkmark each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.
When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)
Do not reboot your computer yet.

[IMG] Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.

    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

Now reboot and rescan with RogueKiller and attach that new log also. Be sure to tell me how things are running now.

The reboot was VERY slow, so slow I thought it maybe had locked up.

You need to attach the requested MGlogs.zip file from running MGtools.

That is not the requested log. See the READ & RUN ME and what I also stated in my last message. The file is MGlogs.zip

Run CCLeaner and clean out your temp folders. Tell me what issues remain, if any.

  10. Larry47

    Larry47 Private E-2

I ran CCleaner and emptied the temp folders. One item wont delete, PERFLIB_PERDATA_724.

The computer is SLOOOOW and it started right after I deleted the four files I was told to. It takes about 10 mintues to boot up. Between the Windows splash screen and the sign on screen it is black for 1 minute 55 seconds just by it's self.

Right now I still get PUM.DISABLED.SECURITYCENTER from Malwarebyres and even though I deleted it, it keeps coming back. This was my orginal complaint when I came online for help.

Thanks for your help so far.

In case you are going to ask me for a Hijack log, to save time I am attaching one here. If you want something else done, let me know.

    Thanks, Larry

We do not need you to post HijackThis logs. It is already include in MGtools automatically.

Your performance issues may not be due to malware. However let's cleanup some additional junk and also stop a bunch of unnecessary startups processes and service from running and see what happens.

    Uninstall the below programs:
    GamesBar 2.0.1.73
    Java(TM) 6 Update 37
    Windows Defender
Now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment Make sure that when you see the form asking about installing Ask Toolbar that you uncheck this.

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win 7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://inboxtoolbar.com/search/dispatcher.aspx?tp=aus&qkw=%s&tbid=%tb_id&%language

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Please download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.
    • Run OTM.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7 or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).
    • Copy the lines from the below codebox to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C
(or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy): Do not include the word Code: which is just a title line of

    [Reboot]
    • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar
      ) and choose Paste.
    • Now click the large [IMG] button.
    • If OTM asks to reboot your computer, allow it to do so. The report should appear in Notepad after the reboot.
    • Close OTM.
Now navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder ( assuming your Windows drive is C). This is where your log will be
saved in the form of Date and Time mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log. Just look for the most recent .log file. Attach
this log file to your next message.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7 or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles log
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

OK, I was gone all day and that was why I sent the Hijack log. Thanks for letting me know about it.

I removed the three items, but could not load the Sun Java because it was a 64 bit version. I took a quick look but was unsure where to find a 32 bit version.

Removed all the items R1 to 09.

Ran OTM and MGlogs, logs attached.

The computer is still slow loading (about 10 minutes to desktop) and I still get the pum.disabled.securitycenter on Malwarebytes.

The performance issues are probably not due to malware. More likely due to Symantec. The security center setting is also likely due to Symantec being in charge of your security.
My suggestion would be to uninstall Symantec and see how things are running.

What about Malwarebytes finding pum.disabled.securitycenter? I try to delete it and it just comes back.

As stated. Symantec is in charge of your security center. PUM does not mean malware is present. PUM = Potentially unwanted modification and Symantec would make modifications.

OK, things are much better after I removed the Symantec items. Malwarebytes removed the pum......for good now and the speed is faster.

    A couple questions.

    1. A site to download the Java you specified. The link you gave me was for 64 bit and this system is 32 bit.

    2. A site for a good free antivirus/malware program(s).

Thank you for all your help.

There was a link there to the authors site ( Download@Authors Site ) which had all versions. It will show a file named jre-7u25-windows-i586.exe on that page.

See the last step in the final instructions below.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    7. If you are running Win 8, Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below to flush restore points:
      • Refer to the instructions for your WIndows version in this link: Disable And Enable System Restore
      • What we want you to do is to first disable System Restore to flush restore points some of which could be infected.
      • Then we want you to Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
