I have a windows XP laptop using Avira Free that I had a weird experience with. I had the FBI locked screen appear briefly and I was able to close it using Task Manager. I then ran Avira totally and Malwarebytes (all current) and both detected nothing. So far I have not had any additional issues. So my question is, am I infected or not? I don't want to bother the Majorgeeks if I don't have to, nor do I wish to spend the time going through the process if I don't have to.

Looking forward to hearing your opinions.

Additionally I will also add that this occurred on a non-admin user, if that makes any difference.

    Thanks

I don't know whether you are infected or not until I have seen the requested logs. ;) So in order for me to be of any assistance, you do indeed have to go thru the below procedures and attach the logs we need.
