I have a Dell inspiron 1300 that I have had to format and I didn't have the original XP disc so I bought an XP Pro disc, I install it OK but now there are loads of things wrong.

I try to open Device Manager to update the drivers for the on board stuff as they are not on the XP disc, and I get told MMCNDMGR.DLL isn't registered I have downloaded the DLL and try to register it but it just asks me what program do I want to open it with :S

    Any help would be appreciated?

At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow and follow the prompts.

I assume by registering you mean that you:

File, Run, type "regsvr32 %SystemRoot%/System32/mmcndmgr.dll" then enter
