ok i have; keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS, and a ethernet card.

I think i might need a soundcard but was not sure if it had one on there. This is only going ot cost me about 600bucks and was wondering what you thought for a low price computer it would be and what i should improve. Also im new to building so any tips would be nice.

I've talked with a few people about how they preferred their RAM, in a 1 stick full format (1x1GB stick) or a 2 stick split format (2x512mb sticks). A lot of those people suggest to take the split format because it lightens loads and makes your system run more efficiently. I honestly believe you should try the 2x512mb for your RAM, or even a 2x1GB setup if you're willing to shell out the extra cash.

Your choice of HDD is Weak, ata 100 2mb cache:eek:
Grab this one even tho your MOBO only supports SATA 1:

If your Gamer, Get 2 x1gb DC kit if you can afford it, might as well take advantage of your Dual channel MOBO.
If you plan on OCing go for PC4000/DDR500 (I'd go GSkill Hz's or OCZ & Skip the value garbage)

Your case, IMO Ugly:p But Whats Worse is the Crappy PSU that comes with it.
You need to purchase a good PSU!

lol yeah i guess it is a matter of taste. But that is ok :p.

I wanted to go with a sata1 myself but i did not think it would work because when i read the motherboard i say only ata so i guess i miss read it myself.

I dont plan on OCing because i really dont see the big picture why to OC. Could someone explain that to me. My processer is better then what i have in my old one and it seems to handle everything fine. Is OC for doing a lot of things at once?

But thanks a lot on all your help. lol i also know there is only so much you can do with about 600bucks so i was trying to make the best i can with the limits i have. Im sure i will have more money in the future but im on a time restaint and had to build what i can :) but like i said thanks for all your help

ok i just had it a look over and this is where im confused

    Storage Devices
    PATA 2 x ATA100 up to 4 Devices
PATA RAID NV RAID 0/1/0+1 JBOD
    SATA 1.5 Gb/s 4
SATA RAID NV RAID 0/1/0+1 JBOD

they is what it says on my motherboard.

this is what the HD says

    Interface SATA 3.0Gb/s

My MOBO says i can use a SATA 1.5gb/s or does that mean it has to be atleast a Sata 1.5 gb/s?

Do you know the differance between PATA & SATA?
    Here:
    http://www.directron.com/patasata.html

The drive you posted will work fine, it would connect via ribbon/ide cable
The drive I posted is SATA 2 your MOBO supports SATA 1, but that's OK, it's backward's compatible, it connects to your MOBO via SATA cable smaller than the ribbion cable so much neater in the case & allows better air flow within your case.
The SATA HDD is Faster than PATA/IDE

I would go for an SATA drive SATA 1 or SATA 2 either is fine, go for the best price per gb, any major brand , also get a drive that has atleast an 8mb cache
