Hi I was wondering if their was a program for linux or a linux boot disk out their that can delete files that are on my C drive. It seems tat any live CD that I try to run won't let me delete files that are in windows. And suggestion's?

As far as I know deleting files from your Windows Partition if it has Windows 2000 or above is a no go. The reason behind that is it could potentially mess up your Windows therefore you would have to reinstall it.

I know that but their has to be a boot cd or something. Plus it isn't a system file it's a program file.

Use the NTFS4DOS tool on the Ultimate Boot CD. (Linux can not modify NTFS partitions, only read them)

You can get BartPE if you have a XP disk to build it from.. in its generic form it has a file explorer so you can delete and move files in Windows. I use it when people have pesky bugs that you can't get rid of in Windows - Bart's boots from the CD and mounts the HD for you.
I have heard the some live Linux CDs don't recommend you manipulate the HD but I have used Knoppix and not had an issue yet... |
