half the net has disappeared !
hey folks ..
know this is a non puter related forum .. but i've jus noticed the google.com is gone here.. ireland to be exact .. as well as the raft of other sites .. washpost/register/digg while other sites are working fine .. del.ic.ious/mysite/ and this one ! anyone noticing this hiccupp of is it jus an irish thing !?!?! b

From Ireland, wait an hour or two and see if it still is not working, odds are a router somewhere. You can sometimes even do a traceroute to a place like Google, then Digg and see if they break at the same point confirming a router issue. At least your still here

start run cmd. The tracert google.com and hit enter

can you hook your modem directly to the modem instead of your router to determine if the router may be configured wrong?

no don't do that, im sorry was thinking no connection.
Try this in command line ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ipconfig /flushdns netsh winsock reset then reboot

pretty sure it ain't the router .. nothing has changed with it since i got it and this has only started an hour ago ..
not really bothering me .. heading to bed soon .. jus curious as to the reason ..

definitly an isp dns issue then
if it continues more then 3 days i would contact the isp.

That happened me once, coincidentally I'm in Ireland too, but it came back on after I restarted the router.
