Ok, I donno if it's just my dumba-- but the Ad-ware SE I DL'ed will only work part of the way. I was thinking of DLing again but I wanted to make sure it's not something else.
The problem is during the scan, you know it might find a few things here and there, but it gets stuck like maybe 35% of the way through. Each time I tried it, it was a different file. Stuck meaning It "freezes" and is no longer scaning. Like it's stuck on one file, but it has been a different file each time I tried it. The program doesn't close out, and the task manager says it's still responding. Any help would be well helpful Thank you, Reaper101 |

WELCOME TO MAJOR GEEKS Reaper, most often when an anti virus/adware program gives problems, there is a major nasty in the works. I would use one of the good online scanners to check your system out, and see if that is indeed the case. Hope that helps and again welcome to MG

After doing the on-line scan as suggested by BCGray, I'd uninstall AdAware, download a new copy from MG, re-install and try again. Bazza http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html
