Service Pack 3 - What Benefits Are Included?

I just searched Google for 'Service Pack 3' just incase I wasn't aware of it and I got the following results - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/832671

^^ Now based on that page, does this mean that Windows Service Pack 3 is out? 'If' it is out:

A) How come I wasn't made aware of it by Windows Update?

B) What benefits are included in Service Pack 3?

Description of Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 3

Unless you got Microsoft Office XP, then no. Service Pack 3 for Windows XP is not out yet.

 

SP3 for XP is only due out sometime in 2K8, if that's what you're asking. That's the last I heard.

OK, I've seen this before at their site, but how do you update then? Looks like one by one for now unless someone created a usable script. That site is somewhat dodgy. It would be nice as I have some 80 criticals every time I reformat and to be able to put that on a boot disk would be priceless.
