Okay well the last thing I can say I remember doing was updating windows when I saw that little notification on the systray. & well now on one of my hard drives there is an unrecognized folder that has appeared out of nowhere. I never made this folder nor did I move it there. It's just came out of nowhere and sticks out like a sore thumb on my data drive (a drive I use just for data such as videos, pics, etc). This is not on my "C" drive in case you are wondering.
Anyways the folders name is: 9ef7b51256e5fbbfcacae870412169 And inside the folder there is a text file named: msxml4-KB927978-enu (This text file has a lot of text in it as if it were some sort of log) & yes I know the name of the folder is really weird. Now what should I do about this? I really want to delete this folder and file off of my hard drive since it appeared out of nowhere. But I dunno if this is something important or has to do with windows xp. PLEASE HELP THANK YOU |

I found this. They say you can delete it without problem.
I don't know what it is myself and I am looking for more info. http://answers.yahoo.com/rss/questio...6142156AAqWhTK

Found a couple more. Apparently it is just a log file from a windows update.
http://help.lockergnome.com/windows/...ict533291.html http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927978 It shouldn't be any problem if you want to delete it.
