Avast Rpc Error

My avast is not working... but it wont go away! So. I thought I would uninstall it and reinstall it. when i tried (from add/remove and ccleaner) it gave me an error message that read the following...

A setiface error has occured: 2
Try to reinstall or contact support.

So now I tried to try and reinstall it and I got this message:

avast! The AAVM subsystem detected a RPC error.
the operation could not be completed.

How can I get this off of my pc? I really am not too pleased with it anyway and just want it gone...:

Try using the Avast Uninstall Utility here, http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-uninstall-utility.html

You might like AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition , give it a try after removing Avast. http://majorgeeks.com/AVG_Free_Edition_d886.html
