Default Connecting to my Router's Ip

Hi all, im having problems connecting to my routers ip through Internet Explorer, when I paste the IP in the IE address bar it just comes up with a search. confused

Is there a setting in IE I need to change? any info would be appreciated, im trying to do whats on THIS PAGE.

What are you putting in the address bar ..and what brand router ..

192.168.1.1?

The best way to check what address you need to logon to the router with is to goto start run cmd, then cmd. Which brings you to a dos prompt, then type ipconfig and hit enter. you want to try the default gateway in your browser.
