It's that time of year again (b-day!) when I get a new toy to add to my tech pile. What kind of monitor is best for gaming?

Computer LCDs have higher resolutions ;)

So, I'd daressay even an HDTV isn't ideal.

I do hear loads of complaining about lcds & ghosting & ... on and on. I use a medium range lcd, not the most exspensive one, but it still works great for gaming and such.

Anything under 12 ms response time will be very good for gaming and will be very hard to detect any ghosting. I saw some crazy deals on newegg that had 19" with 5ms or so response time. Anything 8ms or better is very, very good.
