i have just gotten some hardware.
    that i have put together.

but it dosent seem to work.

    i have put together

    Asus 8800 GTX
    Asus silent knight cooler
    Duel2Core 2.1 ghz CPU
    NQ Giant reactor 1000W

    and a diode lights op
on the mobo. and on the PSU.

but no fans are turning. ?????

have i done something wrong ?

i have put two power cables in the vid card.
and one big one to the mobo.and the CPU cooler is connected

    so what can it be.

i have it just lying on the table as said.

Do you hear beep code when your computer try to start.....

if NO i suspect your power supply check and recheck connection.....

    mmmm... this is strange.

there is a 4 pin plug. that acordig to the manual have to be pluded to to be able to boot.

but i dont have thet plug in this PSU ?????

there are meny but no 4 pin.
    there is 4 PCI-e 6 pins.
and 8 Sata even though i only have 1 Sata harddisk. ! hehe

i tryed to put the 6 pin pci-e plug in the 4 pin. and it klikked. but it dident work.

maybe i need a converter or something ??

i have also addedram and 3 harddisks. in case it was becourse it needed some power hungry things to startop

and no beeps. there is nothing. only two leds light op. and no fans startop.

Are you certain that you have the front panel power connectors connected properly (pwr, rst, HDD led, ect)?

    no they are not in.

since im bad at stuff like this. and it always go wrong for me i wanted to test it first. so it is just as i said. just mobo.PSU.CPU.ram.CPU cooler
no cabinet. just wanted to se if it worked first

before i use a couple of days on installing it or getting it to a prof.

wait wait wait...so you're just testing the mobo on a flat surface and not in a case? if thats the case then you're probably having problems because the mobo is grounded. at least mount it to the mobo tray (if its removable) and try it again. dont forget that you have to put in the little brass standoffs between the tray and the mobo

mm maybe but it is lying on the bag it came in. dosent that isolate it ?

that bag protects from static, i dunno if it will un-ground the mobo you can at least try to mount the mobo, its not difficult and doesnt take long

For it to start up, you need to at least connect the front panel pwr connector to the appropriate circled pins on the board. Check out my picture.;)

Get that connected at least and hit that power button on the case. You can't start it up with just the PSU connected and use that toggle switch because that does send power to the board, but it is in a standby state.
