Converting videos

    When you converting videos does the fps speed depend on the video card? or the processor?
    The program i use to convert videos is WinAVI Video Converter

    It depends on the program, some use the GPU, but CPU and RAM are usually most important for converting videos, a dual core CPU makes a huge difference.

    Alright how do i find out what the program uses?

    well, I am not sure, I had roxio and it had an option to use the GPU... either way the cpu does a lot of work.
