    Hey All!
So I moved to LA, but left my Linksys router and cable modem for the people renting my place in NY. For some reason, they can't connect to my network via password so I want to take the password off. How can I do that when I have the computer (desktop) that it was originally setup on in LA?
    Please advise and THANK YOU!
    Stephanie

Have them reset the router by procedures listed in manual, usually holding a reset button down for a bit then powercycling the router should do it. They may then need to reconfigure the router, but probably won't.

That's why I love this site. I have to wait to see if they can do it on their end, but will let you know if there's a problem. Thanks again! Stephanie

There are few passwords involving Routers.

    1. The password to configuration menus of the Router.

    2. The pass phrase used for Wireless connection.

There can be other passwords as well that relate to the computer's Networking and have nothing to do with the Router.

You have to find out what exactly they need before they mess your Router.
