My DVD RW Burners Are Missing

Hello All,

I have a very strange problem. When I went to put backup some photos onto DVD Nero said it could not find the DVD Burner. I clicked on My Computer and sure enough under Devices with Removable Storage my two burners F: and G: are missing.

Any suggestions why this has happened and what I can do to fix the problem?
I restarted my computer but this had no effect.

Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager... look under CD/DVD drives by clicking the little plus sign. If you see any question marks or yellow exclamation points, there's a problem. Right click on the device w/ the exclamation points/q-marks, and choose 'uninstall'. Reboot. If they're still not functioning, try reloading your motherboard's chipset drivers.... if you don't have a motherboard CD, visit the maker's web site and download the chipset or IDE drivers from there....
