    Thats debatable :major

The stock Athlon HS is about even with a ThermalRight XP-90 http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&articID=399

Here's your Zalman compared to few including an XP-90

How thing's stack up will depend on your tolerance to noise & choice of fan's or fan speed's ;)

I run one of those AMD Stock heat pipe HSF on an OCed 146 opteron at 3 Ghz I can't hear the stock fan, Idle is 30c max load during Prime 95 or Orthos is 50c ( the stock fan is temp controled, thru BIOs setting's I run my at full speed 2800rpm all the time )

FYI, dual core's generate more heat than single's:)
