Condemned: Criminal Origins i need info to play

ok i have the condemned game and i installed it and all but when i start it i just get a black screen and music in the background, i dont have any codecs i think so i was woundering what could be the problem. And my other question is my friend wants to give me his NVIDIA card for my pc and i wanted to no if i could replace mine with that kind of card the pc i have is:

Codecs has absolutely nothing to do with it. There's no way you can play today's games decently (if at all) with an Intel integrated graphics card (or most, if not all, integrated cards, for that matter). If you looked at the system requirements you'd notice that 128-256MB of graphics memory is required, and you only have 64MB shared (since it's integrated and not a separate dedicated card).
We'd need to know what type of video slot your motherboard has (AGP, PCI, PCI-E) before determining if your graphics card will fit and work. I'm guessing it has a couple PCI slots, but we'd also need to know exactly what nVidia card your friend has. If you can get a graphics card, more RAM would also definitely help.
