Outlook Express

    I had to reinstall internet explorer and set-up Outlook Express. However, whenever I try to manually get any e-mail, I get a message that my password was rejected.

    There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'mail.netzero.com', Server: 'mail.netzero.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Authorization failed', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

    I redid the set-up several times, as I had done before. I even used the microsoft autosetup instruction. It seems to send emails okay.confused

    Commonly i see antivirus programs scanning email thus causing this logon issue. Goto tools email accounts, then select the account and properties. Then the servers tab make sure the servers still say mail.netzero.com or what ever is correct instead of 127.0.0.1
