   I tried to get Outlook Express as my default email, however, the default button is grayed out for some reason. How do I get that button to light up so that Outlook can become my default email ?

   If your using XP then try setting the defaults from here .......... Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Set Program Access and Defaults (on the left) > Custom
   
   Where you using a different email application like thunderbird or similar, if that is still installed make sure it doesnt have its default box ticked.
