Defrag Program Problem

    Ok..this is my problem...when I try to start the defrag program on my computer a box pops up that say...MMC requires Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater to be installed...the weird thing is..I have IE7 installed...when I click ok on the box the defrag program closes so consequently I can't defrag my computer..hope someone out there has a solution..thanks :eek:

    If windows xp, do start run then ok, then into the run box type sfc /scannow

    Or try a 3rd party defrag like Disk Keeper Lite, Auslogics, O&O, IOBit, etc... all are free in the Drive Utilities section....

    Perform these steps:

    Go to the Start Menu, Run, type C:\WINDOWS\INF, click OK. Locate the file IE.INF (not IE.PNF). Right-click on it, and click on the "Install" command in the popup menu.

    Restart the computer and try defrag again.
