start up load time

    well when i turn on to my comp it gets to the desktop pretty quick but then its takes like 3-4minutes before everything is loaded up and i can actually start doing things.. because i got a bunch of crap that i never use like winamp , quicktime load up at the start.. how do i stop them and other program from turning on at start?

    The best tool I can recommend for this task is CCleaner

    It will consolidate all startup items found in MSCONFIG and in your user profile's Startup folder into one place where you can pick and choose which to run.

    To do it, please do the following:

    1. Launch CCleaner
    2. Hit ALT +T (or click the 'Tools' section)
    3. Click the 'Startup' button

    Here, you can choose to delete entries, preventing them from starting up.

    If you delete something within CCleaner that you later decide that you want to run at startup, how do you undelete it?
