What is Task "LOL" / Status "Running" in Task Manager?

Sometimes my computer will freeze in a program, none really more than other, so I will go "Control, ALT, Delete" to close the program, and this is what I find

With Windows Task Manager open, there is an Application named LOL listed under Task, and under Status, it reads Running.

I have a number of spyware detection and removal services, which I have run, and everything comes up clean.

What is LOL, and is it causing a problem, or is it just business as usual?

There is not supposed to be a smiley face. In Windows Task Manager, the three letters L O L come up, not with the spaces, I'm just trying to turn off the smiley faces.

 

L O L.exe is a trojan.downloader-Gen/Win.Process. You can install this piece of software and run to remove L O L.exe

hello. so when other people see this i just wanted to let u guys no. if u have downloaded a kltv or weather program that sits on ur task bar in task manager itll come up L O L live on line.. this is a continous task that keeps running because the weather updater is always running and updating. please be advise it is not a trojan. just a program u have downloaded to get updates on ur weather. if u have not downloaded any weather program or live online programs then yes u might have a virus. hope this helps..
