Good Freeware Porn/Content Filter ????

not a joke, serious inquiry: what's the most effective local [i.e. on the user machine HD] porn filter type of software?
Net Nanny seem to have the best marketing, but is it for real, and is theirs worth the price?

YES! Net Nanny is a quality product and is definitely worth the price if you want to keep the nasties away from the kids. Another good one is CyberSeive; you can control all types of stuff including limiting web access to certain hours of the day or limiting amount of time spent in one web session and more. Just Google Cyber Seive for more info..... it's not free, but it's good! There are some free ones out there, I'll do some research for you and post any links that I find....

Try SafeScreen from www.pixalert.com rather try and filter images it will block them before they hit the screen. Filters are good but dont stop everything like emails etc..

Hi ya, just offering an alternitive to the filters - free dont mean good. There are 20,000 new porn sites added to the web everyday a filter is only as good as its last update. And what about CD's, cell phones or USB keys your filters not gonna stop those!
