Greeting everyone,
I could use some help on how to boost the signal on my D-Link DI-624 wireless router. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the highest signal range for an average wireless router is apporximately 100 feet in all directions, right? I'm not sure how to configure my router to boost the signal to it's limit. I know in 2WIRE routers you can extend your wireless signal just by configuring the power outpit from 1-10 to get great signal strengh. I'd like to be able to do that to my D-Link, but I'm not sure how to do it correctly. I want to be able to use my laptop at this cafe across the street from my house and still get decent signal. Does anyone have the same router and can tell me what to configure step by step? Please let me know. I'd appreciate it very much. Thanks ![]() |

Tyhe only simple way to try is to put a High gain directional Antenna and see if it would provide signal an the caffe.
Any other way would installations at tyhe Caffe or midway and would not be practical under this circumstances. I was hoping if someone had the same wireless router maybe I can be shown step by step how to configure the settings in the admin account. Reading all those articles is too much for a noob like me.

Some Routers with 3rd party firmware can Boost the Output Power.
Unfortunately the D-Link DI-624 is Not one of them.
