does anybody know how??

say you recorded something off a TV and you have it on tape is there any possible way to upload to it to your computer?

 

Last 1/4 at school I had to use the Dazzle hoyywood bridge http://www.dazzle.com/images/HollywoodBridge.jpg , but this will work just fine if you don't want to spend $300.00 http://www.dazzle.com/products/dvc80.html plus you could also hook up your vcr/dvd to your computer and record random stuff.

 

If your video card has a video in port then you won't need to buy anything. Simply connect the vcr to the computer using that port. Once that is all hooked up all you do is open up a program which allows you to record stuff. generally if your video card came with a video in port it also came with software you could use for this.

So basicly all you do is pop the tape in the drive hit play and press record on the computer. It would take a little while because this has to be done real time. So if your tape is 60 mins long it's going to take 60 mins to upload but I don't really know of any better way for the common users.
