Decipher background progs

    When I press Ctrl/Alt/Del I see a list of stuff that is running, right?
    Some I can guess at, some I can't.
    Can anyone help me figure out if these need to run all the time:
    Tgcmd - (part of my ISP I think)
    Wmencagt - (Windows Media Encoder Agent)?
    Stimon - (Still Image Monitor)?
    Hidserv

    Thanks AbbySue, that's a great site. All kinds of interesting stuff.
    The only one not listed was the 'Wmencagt'. Maybe someone can clue me in on this oddball.
