Win98-2 startup

    when starting computer i get this error message.

    Msgsrv32 I then hit ignore tab. I then get; computer has preformed an
    illegal function and will be shut down.

    details: Msgsrv32

    General Protection fault in module sb16snd.drv at 0001:0000338c

    have a functioning floppy drive, am not sure about the CD-ROM.

    Have you looked into reinstalling your sound drivers?

    Yes agree with Adrynalyne. Re-install your Sound Blaster drivers.

    forgot to say that only the wallpaper and the mouse comes up, nothing else.
    no way to load drivers. floppy will run at startup.
