Iso,rar,bin files

Ive had a lot of files downloading in odd formats that i cant seem to convert to dvd. I use nero a lot but it doeant want to burn or open a lot of these files? Any good converter or program that will let me burn these to dvd? Hows sonic? any help would be welcome, thanksrolleyes

 

I use WinRAR to unzip .rar files, but it wasn't freeware. You could try this app but check it for malware before using.

As far as .bin .iso files, I don't deal with them. Maybe., someone else has info on that for you.

Just FYI, .iso is an image file. So if you want to burn it onto a disc in it's original context, you'll need to select burn image with your burning utility. Not sure about Nero though, I haven't used it in awhile.

 

TUGZip is a free archiving app that I've been recommending ever since I first found it here at MajorGeeks a year or two ago... It will unzip just about anything, any extension, including ISO files. But, as posted above, ISO's are images that are meant to be burned directly to a CD/DVD. Using Nero(StartSmart), first choose your disc type CD or DVD, then go to the Copy and Backup section and select Burn Image to Disc. In the next window, simply browse to the location of the ISO and burn it!! Easy, no? If you have .bin files, they should be accompanied by a .cue file. Open the .cue with Nero (right click, select Open With and browse to the Nero folder, and choose the nero.exe file) and burn it from there.....

Thanks, this will keep me busy for awhile! Nero doesnt seem to want to burn anything anymore, what do you guys use?

 

I use Nero for 90% of my burning (mainly DVD vob files and VCD's).... For data I use CD Burner XP.... for MP3 to CDA conversion/burning I use Burrrn...
Both CDBXP and Burrrn are free....
