Jerking mouse

I've been having an issue with my mouse jerking. It only happens when I view a page with a large animated gif. ...like a full screen looping radar image or any other big animated picture. It also coincided with a fan in my case going crazy...after a thorough cleaning the fan is nolonger trying to fly away...but I still get the jerk. If I scroll down past the image the mouse nolonger jerks.

I have a fairly update PC 2+ghz processor gig ram...after market video card with 256 MB on board.

Anyone know what's going on?

This also happens to me i will be on the internet and my mouse cursor goes up to the corner

 

I had the same problem a while back and this worked for me:

Right click on the Desktop.

Select - Properties>>Settings>>Advanced>>Troubleshoot

Under "Hardware Acceleration" drop the slider down one notch.

Click "Apply", then "OK"

See if this helps with your problem. If not, go back in an set the slider back to full.
