identifying type of RAM

    I want to increase RAM on my son's PC but I dont know how to find what type it is. As he is not on the internet I need a program that I can maybe download and make a CD. any suggestions please?

    Hiya, beez

    If he is running some flavor of Microsoft Windows, about the easiest way I have found is to use a program called Everest which you can get here on MG:

    Tells you all kinds of nifty info on whats lurking inside your computer.

    Go to Crucial.com and look up by manufacturer (motherboard if built by someone, Company if a Dell, HP/Compaq, or Gateway, etc).
