IP address related

    hi all

    can anybody clear me that these are the private ip range
    10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
    172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
    192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255

    but why win proxy or other private network sometime uses 90.0.0.1 to 90.0.0.254 bcs this range is not in above mensioned range

    pls clear is 90.0.0.0 is private or public ip

    This might be some relic from the past, or a strange decision of an IT person.

    Currently the private ranges are as you posted above.

    The 90.0.0.0 range actually is an Internet block of IPs that belong to a French ISP.
