RAID 1 Sata VIA

    VIA Raid tool 5.2 says that it is setting up a Mirror but it does not.
    Trying to Mirror SATA Disk 0 to Disk 1. Backing out of the VIA tool and just trying to use the XP "new Volume" it only offers Sriping form of RAID. I can accsess the new disk and could make a lettered volume. In Windows 2000 this was easy , but it was with IDE drives.
    What am I missing here?

    This would be a dumb question but have to ask, these two S-ATA drives are the same exact drives or at least same capacity?

    Also you are trying to do this during the boot process not within Windows, right?

    Were you using the same mobo when you had the same setup in Windows 2000?
