My good PC crashed so while I try to fix that(with help from Major Geeks) I am using an old PC.

Problem is the cd for my cable modem is too scratched for me to install it that way. Instead I tried to download the drivers and install it that way.

So I install the modem, try to make a new connection and get the message that "Your broadband connection should alrady be configured, if not click this link" I click the link and follow all the directions only to run into the same problem.

Basically i cannot install the modem because my computer is telling me that it is already installed, which is odd since the only connection I can find is the slow one I am currently using.

I have tried to remove it and then reinstall but I still run into the same problem.

Any help would be very appreciated, thanks in advance

What is the brand and Model of the Cable Modem and how is it connected to your computer? USB or Ethernet?

An update, I got my good PC fixed so this is a non-issue.

Still not sure why it wouldn't work, it is a Terayon and for some reason it wouldn't create a connection.
