Slave Setting ?

Need help with installing a new L.G DVD Burner RW, how do i check if the jumper settings are on "Slave" ? where on dvd unit is it etc ? any help in this regard is much appreciated, Roseman07 :confused

 

Look at the top of the drive and there should be a diagram showing you three different jumper settings Master, Slave, and Cable Select. All you need to do is take the plastic jumper (located in back near the power plug, use tweezers to pry it off) off of its current setting and switch it to the pins that correspond with slave as per the graph on top.

 

Nice pic, well done. Usually the case of the CD drive is embrossed with the definitions, things like MS / SL / CA (cable).
