Default Disable Hyperthreading without using BIOS?

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable Hyperthreading without using the BIOS? Maybe in Windows itself? (The machine is using XP Pro). I know how to disable it in BIOS, I was just wondering if there was a way through Windows.

I was hoping there was an easier way. As I hate having to walk someone through how to get to the BIOS over the phone, especially to someone who isn't very computer literate. :o Plus different makes and models have different BIOS screens and different ways to access the BIOS. I was especially looking for a GUI way to do it. Plus if I can access their machine remotely with mine, I'd just do it myself. But I can't access the BIOS remotely.
