I followed all of the instructions for HijackThis, however, there were still problems: office 2007 product key (bittorent.com), tribalfusion, 2o7, ads.pointroll, atdmt, atwola - that were not disinfected.

Because I downloaded the product key as a .zip from Limewire - how would you recommend deleting it, so that I ensure that I get all of it?

I have no idea on how to get rid of the cookies though, I've scanned them quite a few times, but they keep recurring. Any suggestions?

Also, any suggestions from my log on where I could free up some space? Im using my pc a lot more than I expected, and I am just getting used to working on one again (I was only working with my mac for a while).

My computer is running pretty good right now, but I would really love to get rid of these, I would appreciate ANY help! And 2 thumbs up for this site...

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Just delete the file. Also if you have an illegal copy of Office 2007 already installed, uninstall it because it could be infected.

Cookies are not problems. Ignore them.

I'm not sure what you are referring too. You have 41,004,195,840 bytes free on your hard disk.

What malware problems were you having that prompted you to run the READ & RUN ME?

Note you did not attach all the required logs. You forgot BitDefender and CounterSpy but I doubt they found anything too important.

You also forgot to uninstall the below in step 0 of the READ ME:
    SearchAssist
    Viewpoint Media Player

    Thank You so Much!!!

I'll uninstall and reinstall Office '07, I didnt use that product key, but better safe than sorry...

I was worried about space only b/c Im starting to do a lot more graphic editting on my pc, and I was told that to run some of those programs efficiently on a pc you need a lot of free memory, I still have to add more programs, and I would rather not bog down my hard drive with anything that I will never use and dont really need. I was just wondering if you happened to see anything that caught your eye as being useless. But no worries...Thank you so much!

Everything should still be fine, even though I completely overlooked step 1...right?

Disk space and memory space are two different things. If you don't have enough memory to run applications that you need to run then you should add more memory to your PC.

You are the one that has to decide what programs you use and do not use. What we would use and what you would use are two different things. For example, I would uninstall ALL of the toolbars. However none of this has anything to do with malware.

You should uninstall CounterSpy now since we are finished with it and it will slow you down too. I would also recommend that you uninstall Ad-Aware 2007 which is a resource hog and it offers no protection in the free version. It is only an after the fact scanner.

Yes but you need to uninstall those two programs I listed.
