Internet Explorer window VIRUS??? Please assist???

If you suspect malware as the issue then the below is what we will need you to run to determine if this indeed is the problem

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

• Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
• Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
• Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

• After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

• When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
  • CounterSpy
  • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
  • Bitdefender - from step 6
  • Panda Scan - from step 6
  • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
  • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
  • HijackThis

NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!


DO please stick to one thread/post on your problem, multiple posts on same issue are likely to be deleted as it will get messing in which route of fixing this you will need.


This may not be malware, but to just cover one area that it maybe... update your Graphic Card drivers to latest ones.

 

what Windows version you using?

Do you know what hardware specs of your PC are?
If your PC is a an OEM build as in HP, DELL etc what version and model number is it, their will be a sicker somewhere on case to tell you this.

If your PC is a home build then what is the motherboard manufacturer and model version?

Plus what graphic card do you have?


This software will help you find this infomation out http://majorgeeks.com/download4181.html ( once installed click Computer > Summary in the software, and under motherboard will be make and name of motherboard and under Display will be Video Adapter name and this is the graphic card )

Post this info and we will aim you in right direction for drivers.


BUT as you suspect malware, you will need to run the above guide as their are unique steps in it that you will not have run before, these will highlight malware issues.
