    Hi,
well today i used your READ & RUN ME FIRST section where it tells you in 10 steps how to keep your computer safe and clean, by downloading programs, and having to reboot using safe mode, which i did step by step and didnt skip any at all.

so if you could help that would be great.

    i have attached the logs

    Logs to be included are:
    newfiles---Shownew
    runkeys---Getrunkey
    and bdscan---Bitdefender

if there isnt any thing i am missing please let me know.
or if i need to do anything else.

    Thank You,
    Mark P.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Yes you are missing a view things.
    • CounterSpy log
    • PandaActiveScan log
    • you did not uninstall the below in step 0:
      • Viewpoint Manager (Remove Only)
      • Viewpoint Media Player
    • and you did not uninstall the old Sun Java version in step 6
      • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 10
      • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 8
    • You also need to tell us what malware problems you are having! Especially since I'm not seeing any yet.
Please complete those steps, attach the missing logs and we can continue.

i cant seem to figure out how to get my counterspy log
    and my pandaactivescan log

should i just scan them again?

well i do see viruses like trojans, that arent completely deleted, but what is the diff between malware and viruses? i just thought they are all bad things.
so when i saw viruses im just assuming i have malware too.but i guess u dont see any.

and what i thought we should keep the viewpoint manager.

Don't worry about them now. You really don't have malware problems.

Please be specific and tell me what you are referring too.

Viruses are just one form of malware. Malware is a generic term covering any malicious software.

I'm not sure what you were trying to say here. This appears to be an incomplete sentence.

but yeah what i meant was

No it is actually considered malware and it is crap the AOL rams down your throat without asking. And they will constantly try to reinstall it even thought probably 98% of all people never need it or use it. It is a waste of system resources. These are all reasons why the below tool was writtten and that the tool is part of an Antispyware library of tools:

    ViewpointKiller
