    Hey everyone,
I have been using Ccleaner for about six months and until now thought it was great. Yesterday i came across Registry Booster. Well immediately after running Ccleaner Registry Booster says it found 350 registry problems.
Now do i trust that Ccleaner did it's job or do i get rid of it and trust Registry Booster. Any comments on either program welcome.
    Thanks,
    Dan

PS I did not remove the entries that Registry Booster found. I am very apprehensive about messing to much with the registry.

It seems OK. I use CCleaner in conjunction with RegScrubXP. I looked around on Google for reviews and Registry Booster has good reviews all around. Also, it is a pay program so unless you decide to buy it, I'd stick to CCleaner because you'll have to get back to using CCleaner anyways.

CC's reg cleaner sticks to specific reg keys that the programmers feel do the best job of removing, well, Crap. It is a good tool and does it's job well.

Programs like Registry Booster have a much wider range of keys to scan and find alot of "empty" keys and the like. They are trying to sell you their product so the more "problems" the program finds the more likely someone might purchase their program, if you see what I mean.

If you look through here http://www.majorgeeks.com/page.php?id=20 and try out one of the registry cleaners you might find that they find a few more problems than CC but they are free and just as good as the other paid for software reg cleaners.

The top of that list is RegSeeker which is one powerful Tool http://www.majorgeeks.com/page.php?id=20#cleanreg But like you said Dromano playing with the Registry without knowledge is a fools game. Regseeker marks all safe deletes in green, the rest in red, and when first run takes a snap shot of your registry and saves it, it also asks to save any files you do delete.........Oh yea and its FREE. I use CCleaner's regular cleaner daily, registry cleaner weekly, and Regseeker and clean out "Restore Points" monthly to keep the "Software" side as Lean & Clean as possible. Works for me, Hope it Helps you
