I am still having a problem with not being able to get into add/ delete programs in the control panel. If I put in my xp disk can I browse it and just install just what is needed to make it let me access add/ delete programs. If so what and where would I look for it on the disk? Thank you for helping this newbie.....

Try clicking Start, click Run. Type appwiz.cpl and press Enter or click OK. That should get you to Add/Remove Progs. You can also try Dial.A.Fix http://www.majorgeeks.com/Dial-a-fix_d4899.html and select everything in the Registration Center and click Go. Let it run (it takes up to 5 minutes) and if you get any errors, keep track and post them here and we'll try to help. Dial.a.Fix won't hurt anything so don't worry....

Bbolin06 - please keep to the one thread you have already started here http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1039115#post1039115 as it gets very confusing and time consuming if people advise you to go through the same processes that have already been tried.

I repsonded to the link given yesterday, and you have not yet provided feedback as to whether those suggestions helped.
