My PC is MESSED UP!!!!!!!

    hi,
    i have recently been having some major problems with my PC and am in dire need of some expert advice. i turned on the computer one morning and to my surprise it was 50 times slower than normal. at first i thought nothing of it but then it wouldn't let me sign in at all. when i eventually did sign in i ran a full system scan on norton and AVG.nothing to report. whenever i tried to start a program after that it would either take 10 minutes or just wouldn't load up at all. the sound has completely uninstalled itself even though it says its working correctly and programs such as windows media player give me an error message sayin cannot perform operation, low memory. the taskbar at the bottom does not show any open windows either so i cannot minimise anything at all i tried system restore and it wont load. task manager has been disabled. control panel will not let me add/remove programs. it wont let me boot up in safe mode. i tried to reinstall windows and the install screen just freezes. iv ran out of ideas an haven't a clue what to do. i would really appreciate it if someone could help

    Best option is to run the below guide, as I suspect you likely have some form of malware on your PC.

    Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

    Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy
      • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
    NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!
