Halo 1 combat evolved problem

Hi,
I need someone to help me please
I installed halo 1, from my disc i bought, and it works fine apart from multiplayer.
When i try to play multiplayer, it says "you must have administrative rights to install this patch" and I am on the administrative account.
When I try to manually download the patch, I get an error message saying, "a problem occurred and the game cannot be updates"
Please advise
I am on vista, however this should be irrelivant as my friend has vista too and it works multiplayer.

There is a hotfix to patch the patcher:confused that may be what you need:

This is just a guess tho.

 

Dw ive fixed it, it was just righ click and "run as administrator"
