Default For the Bush Supporters Out There

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/10/...eto/index.html

Who supports this idiot?

Satan is keeping a spot warm for him, I have no doubt.

Quote:
resident Bush on Wednesday vetoed legislation expanding a children's health insurance program by $35 billion over five years.
Quote:
"I believe in private medicine, not the federal government running the health care system."
Quote:
House Democrats also were quick to compare the bill's $7 billion annual cost to the money spent each month on the Iraq war.

I don't support Bush.

I do support helping poor children get medical care, which I do believe there are programs out there (of this I'm not knowledgable, so I'm not going to argue that point).

However, I also do not support socialized/federalized medicine. Government has proven it is bad at business.

I'd have to reserve judgement until I saw the full story, rather than the sensationalistic story that cnn published. Bush is an easy target.

One more thing...

The reason worthy bills don't get passed is because other issues are tacked onto them.

God forbid the politicians actually be straightforward and try to get something everyone agrees on passed and not attach their personal agenda to it.

Just saying...it would be interesting to see what else was part of this bill.

Not to defend the dumbass Haliburton tool from Texas, I always wonder about that myself.

But you would think that if that was the reason for the veto, he would have mentioned it. I know I would have mentioned it by name, and who tacked it on.

I do.. regardless of his decisions, he is our lawfully elected Commander in Chief. Did I vote for him? No. However, as the figurehead of this nation, he should be shown the respect due his position.

Better spent being bad at business than spending it killing people/getting people killed.

That much spent--in 5 months in Iraq if you believe the numbers being thrown out.

I told myself I would stay out of this one, but I have to commend you for saying that. More people should think that way, imo.

Cant argue that.. However, The PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA should be shown respect! Whether you agree with his policy or not. He is still the leader of this fine country.

IMO, a president needs to earn the respect of the people.

Earn.

Blind trust, faith, and respect? We should respect someone because they are a smooth talker(well, was)? That he played the political system and won?

No, thanks.

Seen recent polls?

Winning an election is not based on respect, and its ludicrous to think it is.

Why vote for someone you dont respect?

Polls now are relatively pointless.. he is a lame duck.
Still, his position is one that deserves respect.

Why do you respect him, if you didnt vote for him? Just because he has the title of president?

It always amazes me that when I travel and the American President George W. Bush comes up how every where, they laugh and just dismiss him as a bumbling Idiot, that has damaged his countries Economy, Image, Social Network, Science and Moral stance Worldwide.

The American Dollar is falling, the countries Image is falling, the countries Social fabric is crumbling, and the National debt is the highest in the G8. All of this well other nations are doing the exact opposite. Man, I just don't know how much more of a "Wake-Up" call the Americans need. There is going to have to be a ton of repair work done to many facets of American Government, before the bleeding can be stopped.

Such a shame for this to happen to such a great country, and people. Unfortunately as goes the U.S.A. so goes its allies, regardless of how hard we try to stop it.

Anyway thats my thoughts for what its worth, and will quitely sit back and read what others have to offer.

Probably has something to do with my up-bringing.. respecting authority and all that 'nonsense'.

People have to stand up for what they believe.. right or wrong. Who are we to say their beliefs are wrong?

This is biased, but just an example of promises made to win elections, that are quite different in reality.

Elections are won on lies! Respect? LMAO.
