I am using Movie Maker to put some pictures together. I use winows Xp and have iTunes loaded. Even though I can identify music to inport, Movie Maker says that it is not the correct format. I suspect that iTunes may be the answer bt cannot fathom it out. I'd be grateful for any help.

MovieMaker does not support mp4 audio. It does support wav and mp3.

    dbPowerAmp http://www.dbpoweramp.com/
and Switch http://www.nch.com.au/switch/ can convert mp4, but you have to download an mp3 codec from nch for Switch if you want that format.

dbPowerAmp used to be free, but now requires payment after 30 days to continue to use the mp3 format, if you don't need mp3, don't pay.

or, here is a tutorial to convert unprotected audio using iTunes.

Looks to me like using a converter is a lot easier than using iTunes.
