    Hello,

    I would like to know if it is possible to submit Multiple Targets to a single Icon. OR if there is a program that allows you to create a multiple Target icon.

    Every time i get on the computer I open up a lot of specific programs, including:

    mIRC Client. Internet Relay Chatroom
    Trillian client: For IM such as AIM/Yahoo/MSN/ICQ
    A swiftswitch client: For a mmorpg
    Normal FireFox: Internet Browser

    I would like to know if i can use a single icon to reduce the number of clicks it takes for me to start everything up. I would not like to add any of these to my Startup folder. As it as I'm sure you know, slows computers down. Anything you guys know would be of great help. This is Just a little tweak I'd like to have to make my computer life easier.

    Computer specs: (If you would like to look)

    Windows XP
    1GB of RAM
    AMD Athlon 64 processor
    HP Media Center PC

    Thanks again! :wave

    Maybe create a (.bat) batch file which comprises a script of DOS commands.
    Then you would just have to double-click on the .bat file to run a bunch of programs.

    .bat file contents e.g.:
    @ECHO ON
    start C:\Progra~1\Proxomitron\Proxomitron.exe
    start C:\Progra~1\Iconoid\iconoid.exe

    Ok, I have looked into creation of .bat files. And came up with 2 diffent ways.

    Notepad:

    @echo on
    START C:\Program Files\mIRC
    START C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\Alex's stuff\Trillian

    After this, save as an ALL FILE, and saved name on desktop as "batch.bat"

    At first i figured th error was that the DOS was not understanding the space. However replacing the spaces with underscores ( _ ) Did not work either.

    The second was using the command prompt directly. (I really didn't like trying to work with it but I will try farther after this post)

    Any suggestions as to why this batch file was not opening the specified programs?

    Error: Windows cannot find C:\Program_Files\mIRC
    Error: Windows cannot find C:\Documents_and_Settings\HP_Administrator\My_Documents\Alex's_stuff\Trillian

    (also the try with spaces)

    Error: Windows cannot find 'C:\Program'
    Error: Windows cannot find 'C:\Documents'

    I know there must be some compatibility issues with the windows targets and the command prompt, but I'm limited with my work in computers, and really cant pinpoint the problem myself. Any help would be great.

    Thanks Again :wave

    Ok Everything was fixed. I moved my trillian program to program files and synced it with the progra~1 stuff. It now opens everything up. Thank you elbiatcho1 for your information.

    DOS usually has only 8 character length (which is why "Program Files" is truncated to "Progra~1"). Also spaces are treated differently (ASCII).
