New in need of help

I am new to the site and need to ask for some help please. I have picked up some problems that I haven't been able to combat on my own.

I have AVG running all of the time. I had been using Adaware as well. The AVG picks up many things and I remove them. So does Adaware.

I don't understand enough about how everything works to know why they keep coming back.

I have since added XoftSpySE and Regcure. They too find things and remove/quarantine them. Yet, they return nearly immediately.

I know from the records that I am able to see what some of the problems are called. They are Outerinfo, Win32.Trojanclicker, adware.Zenosearch. There have also been several trojans listed but I don't have their names in front of me.

I would be grateful for any suggestions that you might have. I did read through the forums but I just don't understand how to do most of the things that are suggested there.
